20 gen 2007 · I was so impressed by the performance that I bought this CD (and got Kirchen to sign it!). If you like Rock, Country, Country-Rock, Bluegrass or any kinda of toe-tapping music with a twang to it (Kirchen calls it "Dieselbilly"), this album is for you. It's Kirchen's ode to the Truck-driving man who's always 'tied to the wheel.'

Kirchen followed up with more album releases on Hightone Records including Tied to the Wheel in 2001, Dieselbilly Road Trip in 2003, and King of Dieselbilly (2005). In 2006, Bill kicked off his new deal with Proper Records by recording "Hammer of the Honky-Tonk Gods" at their London studio.
