Throughout Friends Seminary’s partnership with YPI, students have connected to dozens of NYC nonprofits and have been able to award over $75K in grants to winning organizations. This service-learning initiative is part of the Friends Seminary Grade 9 history curriculum and serves as a capstone experience for our ninth grade students.

When Friends arrived in America, they immediately founded schools to educate both boys and girls. Friends schools were founded in Philadelphia in the late 1600s.
