31 dic 2006 · Con una sceneggiatura impeccabile, il racconto "porta" dove vuole il regista fino al doppio colpo di scena finale degno dei migliori illusionisti e vero "prestige" cinematografico. Nel cast spiccano Christian Bale, ormai grande e maturo interprete, e il grande Bowie di cui il cinema dovrebbe accorgersi più spesso. Da vedere e rivedere.
20 apr 2020 · Come accennato in precedenza, The Prestige è, a lungo andare, una lettera d’amore al processo cinematografico, e così come un altro film di Nolan a cui molti hanno attribuito valore metaforico per il cinema stesso, Inception (2010), mostra una particolare ammirazione per quei ruoli in cui ci si sporca le mani e si inventa partendo da conoscenze tecniche stupefacenti.
