18 feb 2024 · He then moved on to join The Mugwumps, which also featured Cass Elliot, before they both joined John and Michelle Phillips in the New Journeymen, which, of course, became The Mamas & the Papas. After the band’s split, he released a few solo efforts, including 1971’s Whatcha Gonna Do and 1974’s Waiting for a Song , which featured Michelle Phillips and Cass Elliot on backing vocals.

22 apr 2011 · A M-U-S-T for all Mamas and Papas fans, and a damn excellent CD for any true music lover. I can only hope this renaissance of reissues of John, Cass, Michelle and Denny's pre and post group recordings will go on, with more releases of Mama Cass' solo albums and Michelle Phillips's gorgeous 1976 album.
