In 2000, Coverdale released his first solo studio album in 22 years, titled Into The Light with singles "Love is Blind" and "Slave". Even though the album was not a commercial hit, it is his most successful solo album both commercially and critically, with the song "River Song" receiving most notoriety, and did return Coverdale to the music business.
