The Ernest Green Story. The Ernest Green Story is a 1993 Drama film that is based on true events. It follows the titular Ernest Green and the rest of the Little Rock Nine as they struggle to adapt attending a Central High School full of white students. It stars Morris Chestnut as Ernest.
There is about one performance that stands out, that is of course, Ernest Green. The story in itself is incredibly interesting and compelling, however the film doesn’t handle it properly. The Bad: This is one of the most watered down and safe depictions of race relations I’ve ever seen. Everything felt so artificial and emotionless.
