Oasis of Fear is effectively a play on the basic plot idea from Umberto Lenzi's earlier Giallo(ish) film Orgasmo - though this one is much more a product of the seventies. The theme of rebellious youth is central to the plot, which sees two young hippies wind up at a big house in the middle of nowhere after falling foul of the police for selling pornography.
8/10. entertaining & very Early Seventies. wvisser-leusden 25 April 2013. The title 'Oasis of fear' may be a bit exaggerated to today's taste, for this film is more like any crime-release you may watch on television nowadays. And yes, some knowledge about society from 1971 comes in handy as well.
