15 ago 2013 · The second episode of Series Nine was based on the novel Sad Cypress, first published in 1940. It was adapted for television by David Pirie and directed by David Moore. Script versus novel. Pirie's script takes quite a few liberties without losing the spirit of the novel. Especially two things had to be worked around for this adaptation.
