Concludiamo la nostra recensione di Wounds affermando che, come diversi film horror Netflix, ha delle ottime premesse che vengono sviluppate nel modo errato. Si sceglie l’horror come pretesto per trattare interessanti questioni relative alla condizione umana.

18 ott 2019 · Wounds, terzo film di Babak Anvari, è arrivato su Netflix dopo essere stato presentato al Sundance Film Festival e qualche mese dopo a Cannes all'interno della Quinzaine des Réalisateurs.
22 ott 2019 · Le opinioni su Wounds di Babak Anvari, nuovo film horror su Netflix, non si sono fatte attendere. Il pubblico è confuso e diviso su due schieramenti quasi come i critici. Stando a Rotten Tomatoes infatti il film ha avuto una valutazione positiva intorno al 54 %, mentre su metacritic il range di valutazione è di 49 su 100, che significa in generale una valutazione media e mista.

Burroughs, Babak Anvari opens his “Wounds” with a quote from Joseph Conrad ’s Heart of Darkness that ends with “It echoed loudly within him because he was hollow at the core.”. Armie Hammer ’s Will is definitely hollow at the core.
