Pierre Marie Xavier Raphael Antoine Melchior, Comte de Polignac (* 14. Oktober 1895 in Château de Kerscamp, Morbihan ; † 10. November 1964 in Paris ), auch Pierre Grimaldi, Duc de Valentinois oder Prince Pierre de Monaco , war ein französisch - monegassischer Adeliger und Angehöriger des Fürstenhauses Grimaldi von Monaco .
Born in Kerscamp Castle (Morbihan) on October 24th1895, Prince Pierre was the son of Count Maxence de Polignac and the Comtesse Suzanne, born la Torre y Mier. By his father, he was descended from an ancient family of Auvergne, who reigned almost supremely in the country of Puy-en-Velay and gave France ministers and generals of value.
Born as Count Pierre Marie Xavier Raphael Antoine Melchior de Polignac, Prince Pierre married Princess Charlotte of Monaco in 1920, and legally changed his surname to Grimaldi, also receiving the title of Duke of Valentinois from the Court of Monaco. Prince Pierre was responsible for the start of the Monaco Formula I Grand Prix in 1929.
