Each semester, 45 motivated high school juniors from across the country come together to live and work on the school’s organic farm in Vermont. The Mountain School began in 1984 as the first semester program in the country.
In exchange for half of your junior year, the Mountain School offers a unique educational experience with a dynamic, engaging, land-based program. You’ll have opportunities to challenge yourself and grow as a student, a friend, a leader, and a person.
Learning where food comes from is essential! Mountain School visited @strafford_creamery for a tour of Rockbottom Farm and a deep dive into what it means to be a family dairy farm. 🌱🥛🐄🍦 Place-based education means getting to know the place where we live. In Vermont, that means dairy!
