4 giorni fa · It marked the fulfillment of Haruomi Hosono's ideal: a band made up solely of songwriters (for another example of which, see also, a mere six years down the line, the Yellow Magic Orchestra). I think that, because it was Shigeru's first recorded song, his bandmates seriously stepped things up (and Shigeru's own guitar solo is sublime).
5 giorni fa · The point is, in 1975 the Hosono / Suzuki / Hayashi / Matsutoya foursome put out an album under their own name (Tin Pan Alley, at that point; but they called the album Caramel Mama... confused yet?), with each member taking lead on a couple songs.

2 giorni fa · For so long I singularly rinsed two albums by Haruomi Hosono, Hosono House (his 1973 debut solo album under his own name) and HOCHONO HOUSE which is a 2019 reimagining of his first album. I say reimagining and I mean it. Both albums are so disparate and so lovely in their own special way.
2 giorni fa · The lyrics for all the songs on this 1981 third album were written by the legendary lyricist Aku Yuu. Koshi Miharu, who continues to be active and captivating in the unit "Swing Slow" with Hosono Haruomi, was in her "Koshi Miharu" days before she stepped into the techno pop route on the "YEN" label.
