Sherlock Holmes Solo Mysteries is a gamebook series from the late 80s. I found the first 2 volumes in a used bookstore, and just completed the first book. It contained two mysteries, Irish Star, and the titular Murder at the Diogenes Club. You proceed through them in order, rather than choosing between them at the beginning.
