Mary Pitt (née Scrope; born 1676 - date of death unknown) was a British courtier. Her portrait is one of the Hampton Court Beauties by Godfrey Kneller , commissioned by Queen Mary II of England . [1]
Mary died in May 1821 and was buried in the Collegiate Church of St Peter, Westminster; otherwise known as Westminster Abbey. The burial register names her as The Rt Hon Mary Elizabeth, Countess of Chatham and gave her address at the time of her death as Hill St, Berkeley Square, London.
