Cölln è un quartiere storico di Berlino, compreso nel quartiere di Mitte.
Cölln (German:) was the twin city of Old Berlin from the 13th century to the 18th century. Cölln was located on the Fisher Island section of Spree Island, opposite Altberlin on the western bank of the River Spree, until the cities were merged by Frederick I of Prussia to form Berlin in 1710.

30 mar 2012 · Centuries ago, a settlement named Cölln formed the core of what is now the German capital. However, it was subsequently subsumed by the growing city of Berlin and disappeared without a trace.
1 giorno fa · 1709 Federico I di Prussia decreta l’unificazione delle cinque cittadine di Berlino, Cölln, Friedrichswerder, Dorotheenstadt e Friedrichstadt, formando così la capitale e residenza reale di Berlino. La città unificata ha una popolazione di 55,000 abitanti.
I primi due insediamenti su cui sorge la Berlino oggi erano Cölln presso l'odierna Museumsinsel (l'isola dei musei) e Berlino sulla sponda a nord della Sprea. Entrambi furono fondati già nel 13° secolo. Cölln fu menzionata per la prima volta il 28 ottobre 1237. Questo giorno rappresenta la data della fondazione di Berlino.
