The George Brown Theatre School is a conservatory-based institution. Its primary curriculum is built on a classical approach to acting through voice, movement, speech, dance, and music classes, which students are required to take throughout the entire three-year advanced diploma program.
We offer more classes than any other public-sector theatre school, with small class sizes for more focused learning. Our deeply respected programming is delivered by instructors who are industry professionals, teaching the skills you need on stage and connecting you to the people who can help shape your future career.
The Theatre Arts – Performance program at George Brown's School of Media and Performing Arts offers you vigorously concentrated, career-oriented training in the fundamental skills, practicalities, traditions and professionalism needed to work as a professional actor in theatre, television and film.
Bringing characters to life on stage is a demanding but exciting career path. Our students train at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts, and are exposed to professional directors, stage managers, designers, and technicians.
