The Daytime Emmy® Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in daytime television programming since 1974. The awards are presented to individuals and programs broadcast between 2:00 AM and 6:00 PM, as well as certain categories of digital and syndicated programming of similar content.
Bestowed by the New York-based National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), the Daytime Emmys are presented in recognition of excellence in American daytime television programming. The first ceremony was held in 1974, expanding what was originally a prime time -themed Emmy Award.
The 51st Daytime Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, will honor the best in U.S. daytime television programming in 2023. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on June 7, 2024, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.
