The Fleetwoods were an American vocal group from Olympia, Washington, whose members were Gary Troxel (born November 28, 1939), Gretchen Christopher (born February 29, 1940), and Barbara Ellis (born February 20, 1940).
Gary Troxel was born November 28, 1939 in Centralia, Washington. He moved several times during his school years, attending schools in Centralia and Port Angeles, Washington; Port Orford, Oregon; Pico Rivera, Hollywood & Carmel, California. Gary graduated from Olympia High School in Olympia in 1959.

Gary Troxel gave his written resignation in 1983 and only Gretchen Christopher is authorized to carry on the name "The Fleetwoods" per their legal Agreement. She has trained Replacements on both coasts (including one who truly has Fleetwood blood in her veins:
