大正大学 （たいしょうだいがく、 英語: Taisho University 、公用語表記: 大正大学）は、 東京都 豊島区 西巣鴨 3-20-1に本部を置く 日本 の 私立大学 。 1885年 創立、 1926年 大学設置。 大学の略称 は 正大 。 概観. 大学全体. 大正大学は 1919年 （ 大正 8年）、 高楠順次郎 、 姉崎正治 、 前田慧雲 、 村上専精 、 澤柳政太郎 が 仏教 連合大学構想を提唱したことに始まる [1] 。 これに 浄土宗 、 天台宗 、 真言宗豊山派 の各宗が賛同し、宗教大学、天台宗大学、豊山大学が合併して 1926年 （大正15年）に発足した。 後の 1944年 （昭和19年）に 真言宗智山派 の智山専門学校も合併された。
