Following the more experimental 'Rainfall' and 'Jean Renoir', 'Delta Kiss' saw Louis Philippe return to the 'pure pop' stylings of his él days, with jazz double bass player and pianist Danny Manners coming to the fore as accompanist and arranger for the first time - the start of a collaboration which has carried on to this day.
Philippe Auclair (24 June 1959), also known by his moniker Louis Philippe, is a French singer-songwriter, musician, news correspondent and football journalist who has been active from the mid-1980s onwards. Recorded in London in the spring of 1994, 'Sunshine' pairs Louis Philippe with 'French Touch' producer Bertrand Burgalat for the first time and, after 'Delta Kiss', confirmed LP's return to 'pure' pop after the experimentations (with Dean Brodrick) of 'Rainfall' and 'Jean Renoir'.
