Juli 2006 fand ein erneuter Auftritt der drei Dschinghis-Khan-Mitglieder Henriette Strobel, Wolfgang Heichel und Edina Pop, zusammen mit der Tanzgruppe „The Legacy of Genghis Khan“, im mongolischen Ulaanbaatar statt.
The success of the band eventually led to Wolfgang and Henriette's divorce in 1986, with Henriette reverting to her maiden name of Strobel. In 1986, the group reunited as "Dschinghis Khan Family", but only with original members Strobel on vocals, Mándoki on drums, and Potgieter on keyboards.

She was born Henriette Strobel in Amsterdam to a family where her father was a dentist and her mother a secretary. She studied in Amstelveen and had private lessons in Obertsdorf. When she finished her education she was a figure skater, a beautician and worked as a dental assistant.
