Matsudaira Tadanao (松平 忠直, 16 July 1595 – 5 October 1650) was a Sengoku to early Edo period Japanese samurai, and the 2nd daimyō of Fukui Domain in Echizen Province.

Tadanao Matsudaira's army has achieved great military success by defeating many enemy generals, including Nobushige Sanada (Yukimura Sunaga). After the Battle of Osaka ended, he was praised by his grandfather Ieyasu for his bravery and military exploits.
Matsudaira Tadamasa (松平忠昌, 1597-1645), the second son of Hideyasu, took part in the siege of Ōsaka, from where he brought home 57 heads of his opponents as trophies. He received the fief of Kawanakajima (Shinano) with 150,000 koku, and in 1619 the fief of Takada with 250,000 koku.
The Matsudaira clan (松平氏, Matsudaira-shi) was a Japanese samurai clan that descended from the Minamoto clan. It originated in and took its name from Matsudaira village, in Mikawa Province (modern-day Aichi Prefecture).
Naomasa MATSUDAIRA (September 1, 1601-March 8, 1666) was a daimyo (Japanese feudal lord) in the early Edo Period. After serving as the lord of Anezaki Domain in Kazusa Province, the lord of Ono Domain in Echizen Province and the lord of Matsumoto Domain in Shinano Province, he became the first lord of Matsue Domain in Izumo Province.
