John Michael " Poli " Palmer (born 26 May 1943) is an English rock musician who was a key member in the progressive rock band Family. Though he was not an original member, he was regarded as being integral to the group's sound.
A Song for Me is the third album by the British progressive rock band Family, released on 23 January 1970 on Reprise Records . Background. The album was recorded in late 1969 at Olympic Studios in London. It was their first album with new members John Weider on bass and Poli Palmer on keyboards, flute and vibraphone.

The only three musicians on it are me, Poli and Geoff Whitehorn [from Procol Harum] on lead guitar. Did you work that way because of the pandemic? Not really, we started it in late 2019.
