Alongside Michael Mertens was the new line-up of American vocalist Betsi Miller, with bassist Derek Forbes and drummer Brian McGee (both ex-Simple Minds) who had both actually joined the band following their split with ZTT in 1986.
Karl Betsi Miller was born in Idaho, America and moved to Germany when she was twelve. Years later, said friend of Suzanne Freytag spotted her to singing in Munich night club where she waitressed by day. Her phone number was passed on to Suzanne who went to meet her.

I Propaganda sono un gruppo di musica elettronica nato in Germania nel 1982 a Düsseldorf. I membri originari erano Andreas Thein e Ralf Dörper. A questi si aggiunse in un secondo momento anche Michael Mertens.

Mertens, Freytag and Dörper were joined by Derek Forbes and Brian McGee along with vocalist Betsi Miller. Although Freytag and Dörper contributed to the new album, they were no longer members by its release.
22 mag 2024 · That incarnation featured new singer Betsi Miller though Freytag appeared on two tracks. The band scored hits in South America but once again went into hiatus. Former singers Claudia Brücken and Susanne Freytag record music and tour under the name xPropaganda.
