Terry Balsamo (born October 8, 1973, in Jacksonville, Florida) is Evanescence's former lead guitarist. He joined in 2003 replacing Ben Moody as Evanescence's lead guitarist. He co-wrote most tracks on The Open Door with Amy Lee as well as on the band's third album Evanescence.

During the interviews, Guitar World learned both Balsamo's and McLawhorn's early influence was Kiss. While Balsamo dug the flamboyant riffs of Ace Frehley, McLawhorn wanted to be drummer Peter Criss.
