Riding a wave of support from fans all over Southern California, Save Ferris became favorites of KROQ radio's legendary “Rodney on the Rock”, which resulted in regular airplay on LA's world-famous KROQ radio station, possibly being the first unsigned band to do this in LA alternative radio history.
In his place is former Save Ferris drummer Evan Kilbourne. Kilbourne played his first show with Starpool on September 18, 2010, at The Grove of Anaheim where the septet opened for fellow Orange County third wave ska legends, Reel Big Fish .
In 1992, the first major lineup change came with the addition of long time friend Evan Kilbourne on drums, with whom they recorded Live in the Studio (produced by Jim Barnes, who also produced Dawning and Soul) .
