The band subsequently recruited a third guitarist, Mike Geisbrecht. Hole's first show took place at Raji's, a small bar in Hollywood, in October 1989. By early 1990, Geisbrecht and Roberts had both left the band, which led to the recruitment of bassist Jill Emery.
Mike Geisbrecht. Mike Geisbrecht, also known as Geis, played guitar with Hole during their early years from 1990 to 1992. He was part of the band during the recording of Pretty on the Inside, contributing to the raw and abrasive sound of the album.
