Ayr Academy (Scottish Gaelic: Acadamaidh Inbhir Àir) is a non-denominational secondary school situated within the Craigie Estate area at University Avenue in Ayr, South Ayrshire. It is a comprehensive school for children of ages 11–18 from Ayr.
The University of the West of Scotland and the Ayr Campus of the Ayrshire College are very close by. It is a modern school designed to support Learning and Teaching in the 21 st Century and is well equipped to prepare our young people to make a positive contribution to society.

This school historically holds a single painting, ‘John Ballantyne’ by Henry Raeburn. This is cared for by South Ayrshire Council’s Museums and Galleries Service. Ayr Academy’s origins date back to the Sang Scule of Ayr, as early as 1233. The current building is a classical edifice, opened in 1880.
