Annabel Davis-Goff (born 19 February 1942) is an Irish novelist, academic, screenwriter and advocate, active in the United States.

My parents belonged to the Anglo-Irish generation that had been brought up during English rule, and had lived through the Anglo-Irish War, the Civil War, the Irish Free State and, by the time I was born, were adapting to belonging to the Republic of Ireland.

Annabel Davis-Goff was born on 19 February 1942 in Ireland. She is a writer and producer, known for Walkabout (1971), The Great Gatsby (1974) and The Last of Sheila (1973). She was previously married to Mike Nichols.
If the author of Castle Rackrent and Belinda has a contemporary heir, that may well be Annabel Davis-Goff, whose fine new novel, The Dower House, refracts some of the world she depicted in her 1989 Memoir Walled Gardens...Davis-Goff is a find.
