Magnavox Theatre is an American television anthology of comedies and dramas that aired seven hour-long episodes on CBS in 1950, alternating weekly with Ford Theatre. [1] . All were live except episode six ( The Three Musketeers ), [citation needed] which according to CBS, was the first hour-long film made in Hollywood for television. [1] .

Originally produced as a 60-minute episode of THE MAGNAVOX THEATER (shown on 24 Nov 1950) on CBS as THE THREE MUSKETEERS. This has the distinction of being the first movie specifically made for TV. Later retitled and released theatrically. Filmed at the Hal Roach Studios.
