Waikowhai Intermediate School is a coeducational intermediate (Years 7 to 8) school located in Mount Roskill, Auckland, New Zealand. It serves the areas of Mount Roskill, Waikōwhai, Lynfield, Māngere Bridge and Blockhouse Bay. The current principal is David King.
The daily life of students at Waikōwhai Intermediate School is coordinated by the. organisation of several clear and interdependent beliefs. . School is a safe and happy place. At Waikowhai Intermediate, we take pride in challenging our students to take ownership of their learning. We have stepped away from the traditional teacher-led classroom, and have embraced inquiry-based learning where the students choose their journeys based on a larger concept.

A Brief Waikowhai History. Waikowhai Intermediate School began its life in 1965, by housing the first students of the North Shore Teachers’ Training College, while facilities were built to house those students on a site in Northcote.
