Formed in 1988 by Tahrah Cohen and Joe Pascarell, the band has performed many shows around the world. The Machine began as a cover band who played gigs local to the Rockland County, NY area and did not play Pink Floyd Music exclusively.
New York-based drummer Tahrah Cohen is a touring musician and founding member of both Antony and The Johnsons and The Machine. She has been endorsed by Sabian, Vater Percussion, and Evans drumheads since 1990, and joined the Pork Pie Percussion family in 2020.

The band features founding member Tahrah Cohen (drums), longtime bandmates Scott Chasolen (keys, vocals) and Ryan Ball (guitar, vocals), and newest member Chris DeAngelis (bass, lead vocals). The Machine continues on to celebrate the music of Pink Floyd and to honor the life of Joe Pascarell, who co-founded the band with Tahrah in 1988.
