Rob Echeverria (born December 15, 1967) is an American musician who has worked as the guitarist of Biohazard, Helmet, Rest in Pieces, and Straight Ahead. While in Helmet, he helped compose and record the song "Milquetoast", which was released on The Crow's soundtrack. Both of Echeverria's parents were originally from Ecuador.
15 ago 2014 · Being a big fan of Echeverria's work throughout the years, I wanted to hear his take on the early days of New York hardcore, and his role in some of the most influential bands of the era. In his two-decade career, the guitarist spent time as a member of Straight Ahead, Rest in Pieces, Biohazard, and Helmet.
In early 1993, Peter Mengede left Helmet due to a contractual dispute. [5] He would later join the supergroup Handsome in 1995, which released one album on Epic Records in 1997 before disbanding. [5] Mengede was replaced by Rob Echeverria, guitarist from the hardcore band Rest in Pieces.
For the 1996–97 Mata Leao Tour, the band hired former Helmet guitarist Rob Echeverria. They also played on the Ozzfest mainstage, alongside Ozzy Osbourne , Slayer , Danzig , Fear Factory , and Sepultura .
