The Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts Berlin is a member institution of the Permanent Conference of actor training (SKS). In 2004, the university won the Berlin Art Prize and became widely known due to the long-term documentary Addicted to Acting by Andres Veiel (1997–2004).
The Ernst Busch is one of the most renowned universities of the theatre arts in the German-speaking world with an outstanding international reputation. Students and their excellent training are at the centre of the six degree programmes.
The Ernst Busch University of Theatre Arts Berlin – HfS Ernst Busch for short – gives students the training and the space to become well-rounded artists and human beings. The curriculum centres around imparting practical, artistic, research, and analytical skills at the highest level.

The Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts trains in the following courses of study: Acting, Directing, Dramaturgy, Contemporary Puppetry, Choreography and Play&Object. The focus of the training is on the personality of each student, and this from the first to the last day of study.
