SCO’s application process operates within OptomCAS, a centralized service that begins accepting applications on June 27, 2024. Because of our rolling admissions infrastructure, SCO encourages interested students to apply early. There are numerous, detailed steps to follow when applying to SCO.
The Southern College of Optometry (SCO) is a private, non-profit educational institution that was established in 1932 by J.J. Horton, an ophthalmologist. It has a long history of providing optometry education and has graduated numerous optometrists from various states and countries.
