8 nov 2022 · Morlock is the moniker of London based drummer and synth player Andrew Prestidge. The project was formed in 2019 and soon followed the release of ‘Ancient Paths.’ Prestidge recently released the second Morlock album.

Suns of the Tundra (SOTT) began as a musical collaboration between vocalist-guitarist Simon Oakes and drummer Andrew Prestidge. Oakes previously played in Peach, the band he co-founded with Tool’s Justin Chancellor. Prestidge is known for his work with Lucifer, Angelwitch, Cortizone, Zoltan and Mint 400.

But this time round, we managed to get Andy Prestidge and Al Murray in the same rehearsal room and studio for long enough to record 3 tracks with both of them on board – and we’re really happy with what came out of that session.
Andrew Prestidge is a man of many genres. In fact, for him nothing seems to be off-limits. Doom-metal, psych-rock, kosmische – you name it. His latest incarnation is the rather marvellous Morlock; a bounty of electronica, psych and krautrock that picks up where two of his other endeavours, The Osiris Club and Zoltan, left off.
