  3. St MacNissi’s College was opened as a residential college at Garron Tower (see image) on the north-east Antrim coast in the 1950s and remained a prominent second level college in the diocese until 2010, when it amalgamated with two other Antrim schools to become St Killian’s College.

    On September 3, 1951 (the feast day of St. MacNissi) Garron was officially opened as St. MacNissi's College, a diocesan grammar school for boys. It is today known as St. Killian's College, the result of a merger of St. MacNissi's College, St. Comgall's College, and St. Aloysius High School.

  5. The house was built as a summer residence in 1848 on a plateau above the County Antrim coast. There are shelter trees, a noted Eucalyptus globulus of 1857, formal lawns above sham battlements, and a gate lodge. The site is now St. Macnissi's College.
