A month after a riotous concert at the Singer Bowl in New York City, the group flew to Great Britain for their first performance outside North America. Partiamo innanzitutto dall'ottimo package presentato da Eagle Pictures: The Doors viene presentato in formato Combo a due dischi (le due versioni 4K Ultra HD e Bluray) in una bella edizione con slipcase di cartone, con la figura di Val Kilmer che interpreta Jim Morrison in rilievo. All'interno della confezione anche una card da collezione numerata....
Il video in 4K UHD non può che beneficiare del lavoro di restauro e del nuovo master, che fanno fare un poderoso salto di qualità rispetto alle precedenti edizioni, e alla stessa versione Blu-ray HD presente anch'essa all'interno della confezione. Riguardo all'audio, va subito detto che il trattamento per i due dischi 4K e Blu-ray è uguale. La traccia italiana è in DTS HD 2.0 Master Audio, mentre quella inglese può vantare il DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio, ed è tutta un'altra musica (nel vero senso della parola). L'ascolto nella nostra lingua ne esce ovviamente sacrificato, soprattutto nella spazi...
Per quanto riguarda gli extra, solo due contributi, ma belli corposi. E, attenzione, uno si trova sul disco dove il film è nella versione 4K e un altro sul disco blu-ray.
