Hubert Laws (born November 10, 1939) is an American flutist and saxophonist with a career spanning over 50 years in jazz, classical, and other music genres. Laws is one of the few classical artists who has also mastered jazz , pop , and rhythm-and-blues genres, moving effortlessly from one repertory to another. [2]
The participating musicians are Thad Jones, Hubert Laws, Garry Bartz, Jim Hall, Ron Carter, Richard Davis, Elvin Jones. A Shade Of Difference is definitely one of the best albums I've heard so far from Helen Merrill.
