Mary Hopkin (born 3 May 1950), credited on some recordings as Mary Visconti from her marriage to Tony Visconti, is a Welsh singer best known for her 1968 UK number 1 single "Those Were the Days". She was one of the first artists to be signed to the Beatles' Apple label.

11 feb 2007 · For the new trio, he teamed up with Michael de Alberquerque, ex-ELO bass player, and Mary Hopkin. Although Mary was not actually planning a comeback when Mike was looking for a female singer to join Sundance, she lived in the same area as Mike and readily agreed to the idea.
