Joseph Andrew Duplantier (born 19 October 1976) is a French-American musician, best known as the rhythm guitarist, vocalist, and lyricist of heavy metal band Gojira. He is also a record producer and environmental activist.

It’s where he learned to play guitar – through a deep-dive study of Metallica’s catalog – and eventually hatched the idea for Gojira (after discovering his younger brother Mario’s innate drumming skills).

Not just a small, natural fire, but acres set ablaze by land-grabbing farmers and loggers, killing wildlife and endangering tribes across Brazil and other South American countries.
