Biography. Son of Francisco Gómez de Sandoval y Rojas, Duke of Lerma and Catalina de la Cerda, main lady in waiting for the Queen consort Margaret of Austria. His birthdate and place are unclear, and placed between 1577 and 1581.
Cristóbal Gómez de Sandoval y Rojas (1581-1624) era il primo figlio maschio del V marchese di Denia, poi I duca di Lerma. Grazie al padre, divenuto favorito del re Filippo III (1578-1621), ottenne nel 1609 il titolo di duca di Uceda.
