Michel is the brains behind VOIVOD’s conceptual albums and lyrics, which go back to his childhood. He is a fan of science, quantum physics, conspiracy theories, vampires and robotics. Michel also does some 3D computer work and illustration as seen in the Negatron artwork, using Softimage software.
In 2018, Voivod’s 14th studio album, The Wake, is upon us. The band’s original members, drummer Michel “Away” Langevin and vocalist Denis “Snake” Belanger, find themselves reinvigorated and reenergized by the presence of guitarist Daniel “Chewy” Mongrain and new bassist Dominic “Rocky” Laroche.
