Constantijn Huygens (L'Aia, 4 settembre 1596 – L'Aia, 28 marzo 1687) è stato uno scrittore, diplomatico e compositore olandese, padre del diplomatico Constantijn Huygens jr. e dello scienziato Christiaan Huygens.

Constantijn Huygens (Den Haag, 4 september 1596 – aldaar, 28 maart 1687) was een Nederlandse dichter, diplomaat, geleerde, componist, architect en polyglot. Huygens staat bekend als een van de grootste dichters uit de Gouden Eeuw .
Constantijn Huygens was op vele punten een begaafd man. Toen hij in 1687 op 91-jarige leeftijd overleed, liet hij niet alleen vele kleine en grotere gedichten na, maar ook talloze brieven , vertalingen, tekeningen en composities (Huygens was een getalenteerd luitspeler).
