Kit Hill ( Cornish: Bre Skowl ), [1] at 334 metres high, dominates the area between Callington and the River Tamar in southeast Cornwall, England, UK. 10 lug 2017 · Kit Quarry was the drummer for post-punk underground Sydney band Craven Fops. They existed between 1984 and 1991 and have done the odd comeback gig since then. Their sound was once described as being the aural equivalent of barbed wire toilet paper!
The quarry at Kit Hill was for high quality granite. Large-scale quarrying began in the 1880s and the granite was used for sea defences in Plymouth, London and even Singapore! The stone was shaped and finished in the quarry before being shipped as completed pieces via the railway.
