Just as it did with its first album, INK followed “Safe Is Just a Shadow” with an EP.

As replacements, Charnas brought in drummer Conor Sullivan, vocalist Dave Sieling, backing vocalist & guitarist Justin "JD" DeBlieck and bassist Shane Bisnett. All of the new changes garnered the interest of Ferret Music , who later signed the band in spring of 2009.
