Don Byron's clarinet is immediately recognizable. The tune features a dotted-quarter "cross-rhythm" that intrudes from time to time. Definitely solid, if I were at the Vanguard with a drink I'd certainly be enjoying it. But ultimately, it's a very conventional jam, and perhaps a tad overlong.
