General Algernon Seymour, 7th Duke of Somerset (11 November 1684 – 7 February 1750) was a British Army officer, Whig politician and peer who sat in the House of Commons from 1708 to 1722 when he was raised to the peerage as Baron Percy and took his seat in the House of Lords.

Biografia. Era figlio di Edward Seymour, XI duca di Somerset e di Lady Charlotte Douglas-Hamilton. Nel 1891 alla morte del fratello Archibald divenne duca di Somerset. Il 17 maggio 1845 a Londra sposò Horatia Isabella Harriet Morler da cui ebbe quattro figli [1] : Algernon (22 luglio 1846 – 29 ottobre 1923) Percy (11 novembre 1847 – 16 luglio 1907)
