    In April 1982, Bill’s brother Ian (a saxophonist and keyboard player) joined Wright and Crickmore in Fiat Lux. Polydor signed the band and released their debut album. The singles Secrets and Blue Emotion both made the UK charts in 1984, but the 1985 single Solitary Lovers was not a hit, and as synth-pop fell out of favour, the band fell by the wayside.
