  5. 20 dic 2011 · The album does start quietly, prepared piano's arpeggiated riffs ricochet off percussive clatters. Laubrock's sax comes in at opportune times, leaving a trail of notes and scattered phrases. By the second tune the phrases are longer and more cohesive and the group's sound begins to coalesce.

  6. She was also nominated for the BBC Award 'Rising Star' in 2005 and in 2009 won the SWR Jazz Award for her recording Sleepthief, featuring pianist Liam Noble and drummer Tom Rainey (her husband). They recorded a 2011 album called The Madness of Crowds.
